The Seed Savers Network is a not for profit organisation.   It was founded in 1975 by Diane Ott-Whealy and
Kent Whealy after her grandfather gave them the seeds of 2 plants that his parents had brought from Bavaria
in the 1870’s.

The organisation saves and shares seeds of heritage/heirloom plants forming a living legacy.   When people
grow and save seeds they act as custodians and protectors of the plants whilst nurturing our diverse yet
fragile genetic and cultural heritage.
